About Us
We Help Everyday People Use Financial Tools With Ease
Fundamint was built around one simple idea: the tools already exist — people just need clear, calm guidance to use them well.

Started with a Spreadsheet and a Lot of Questions
Fundamint came together in 2019 when a small group of educators and app enthusiasts in Kuala Lumpur noticed the same thing: budgeting tools were everywhere, but most people had no idea how to set them up properly. The apps were downloaded, then left untouched after the first confusing screen.
Rather than pointing people toward more content to read, the founding team started running small, in-person workshops — walking participants through setup, one screen at a time. The feedback was consistent: people didn't need motivation, they needed clarity. A guided hand. Something that met them where they were.
Since then, Fundamint has grown into a structured training provider with a growing community of participants across Malaysia. Our approach hasn't changed. We still believe the most useful thing we can do is sit alongside someone and show them, clearly and patiently, how the tool actually works.
Our Mission
Practical Skills, Not Abstract Theory
We exist to give people the practical knowledge to use budgeting and tracking tools as part of their everyday routine — without jargon, without pressure, and without assumptions about prior knowledge.
Our Values
- Clarity first. Every explanation should be easy to follow. If it isn't, we rewrite it.
- Neutral guidance. We don't favour any single app. We teach transferable skills.
- Respectful pace. No one should feel rushed or embarrassed. Everyone starts somewhere.
- Community-minded. Learning alongside others makes it easier and more enjoyable.

How We Work
Our Standards and Approach
Every programme we offer is built on consistent, considered standards — from how we write our guides to how we protect participant information.
Tool Accuracy Reviews
All walkthrough materials are reviewed and updated each time a supported app releases a significant interface change, so guides stay current and useful.
Participant Data Privacy
Personal information collected during enrolment is handled in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and is never shared with third parties for marketing.
Trainer Qualification
All Fundamint trainers have verifiable experience in adult education and hold relevant training competency credentials aligned to Malaysian Qualifications Agency standards.
Post-Session Feedback
Every session is followed by a structured feedback process. Ratings and comments are reviewed by our curriculum team within five business days to inform improvements.
Regulatory Compliance
Our training content is reviewed to ensure it does not constitute financial advice under Malaysian law. All materials are framed as general, publicly available information and tool guidance.
Inclusive Design
Materials are written in clear English with Bahasa Malaysia support available on request. Guides are formatted for readability across screen sizes and age groups.
Background
Budgeting Tool Training in Kuala Lumpur
Fundamint operates from the heart of Kuala Lumpur, offering structured training programmes for individuals who want to use budgeting and expense-tracking applications with greater confidence. The programmes are designed around actual app interfaces — the same screens participants see on their own phones — so the learning is immediately applicable rather than theoretical.
Malaysia has a growing range of personal finance tools available in multiple languages, and Fundamint's training is designed to work across many of them. Whether a participant prefers an Android or iOS environment, a dedicated budgeting app or a spreadsheet-based tracker, the walkthroughs are adapted accordingly. The emphasis is always on understanding the logic of the tool, not just memorising button locations.
Participants across all three programme levels have found that structured, screen-level guidance removes the hesitation that often prevents people from getting started with new tools. The community component of the Toolkit programme extends that support beyond the session itself, creating a space where questions can be asked openly and answered with care.
Fundamint is based at No. 12, Jalan P. Ramlee, 50250 Kuala Lumpur, with both in-person and online options available. Enquiries are welcome by phone at +60 16-209 7354 or by email at [email protected].
